Aloe capitata Unique Aloe from Madagascar with broad, flat-topped inflorescences of tubular, yellow flowers. Inflorescences are shorter than those of other Aloes, but wider in diameter. They occur on the tips of branched stalks hence the species name, capitata. Blooms in the winter. The leaves are pale green with spaced prickles along the margins. Huernia zebrina - Lifesaver Plant Trailing, cactus-like succulent similar to Stapelia to which it is related. Like Stapelia the pale green stems are four-sided, but horn-like projections along ribs are more prominent. Star-shaped, yellow flowers are 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter and cross-banded with maroon.
